Finley Shapiro Consulting evaluated the design and performance of solar powered traffic monitors located along highways in the Philadelphia and Pittsburgh areas. Based on this work, modifications were made to improve these installations. The picture shows the solar powered traffic monitor at the Girard Avenue entrance to the westbound Schuylkill Expressway in Philadelphia. This is one of many installations to which improvements were made based on Finley Shapiro Consulting's work on this project.
