One Roof
Finley Shapiro Consulting designed grid-connected photovoltaic systems for eight houses owned by the Norris Square Civic Association in North Philadelphia. With a total rated power of 9.6 kW.

The systems were installed in collaboration with the Energy Coordinating Agency and SunHaven Solar, and began operating in early November 2004. At the time it was the largest operating photovoltaic project in Philadelphia.

By June 1, 2005, the systems had generated a total of 5021 kWh of pollution-free electricity. Of this, 3570 kWh was used in the houses, and 1451 kWh was sold back to the electric grid.
