FINLEY R. SHAPIRO, Ph.D., P.E. Principal Consultant Professional Credentials Finley R. Shapiro founded the company following years of experience in many diverse parts of the engineering and computer world. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1988. His dissertation was on the simulation of the transient response of amorphous silicon hydride devices, and the work included developing a simulation program which ran on a supercomputer. Less powerful versions were later successfully run on workstations and personal computers, even including a Macintosh SE/30. He has also received his Engineer's Degree (1982), Master of Science (1982), and Bachelor of Science (1980) in Electrical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and has studied at the Fels Center of Government at the University of Pennsylvania. Finley R. Shapiro is a licensed Professional Engineer in Pennsylvania, after receiving the near-perfect score of 98 of a possible 100 in the Professional Engineer's examination.
