Cox Photovoltaic Cogeneration System |
The Cox Photovoltaic Cogeneration System was installed by a collaboration of the site owner, John Cox, his company Cox & Co. Inc., and Finley Shapiro Consulting, Inc. The system began full operation on June 5, 2003, and was certified for the Sustainable Development Fund's Solar PV Grant Program on June 16, 2003.
As of May 30, 2005, the system had generated a total of 7017 kWh of electricity, including 1480 kWh that were sold back to the electric grid. The system's best single day generation was 20.35 kWh on June 20, 2004. In the twelve month period from July 1, 2003 to June 30, 2004, the system generated 3627 kWh, ahead of the predicted yearly generation of 3489 kWh.
